Our Local Beneficiary

True North of Columbia

Our beneficiary is a local shelter called True North, and it is the only residential facility in Boone County that supports the victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. This shelter provides survivors with safety, shelter, education, and transitional support for those who have been affected by domestic and sexual violence.

The goal of True North is to provide all victims with safe housing, advocacy, and support. This advocacy and support may encompass initial contact through continuous counseling, protection, housing assistance, and appropriate legal actions.

VP Philanthropy

a letter from our

Hi everyone!

My name is Lexi Nichols, and I am the Vice President of Philanthropy here at the Alpha Nu chapter of Alpha Chi Omega. I am so excited to serve in this position and share out chapter's passion for our philanthropy, which focuses on domestic violence awareness.

Here at Alpha Nu, we work closely with True North of Columbia to do hands-on work helping our community. We focus on raising money for True North, promoting awareness and educating ourselves and the community about domestic violence.

Our chapter is filled with passionate women who strive to better themselves and the communities we live in. We work to continually educate ourselves and support those impacted by domestic violence in the Mizzou and Columbia communities.

I can't wait to work with the women of Alpha Chi Omega to see what we accomplish throughout the year. We are so excited to host many events to raise money for our philanthropy and spread awareness for domestic violence.

It's an honor to be surrounded by such an amazing group of women who inspire, motivate and encourage each other to support those impacted by domestic violence. I am so proud of Alpha Nu and all that we have accomplished, and I look forward to continuing our efforts over the year.

Your VP Philanthropy,

Lexi Nichols
